I was reading one of my favorite forums today and ran across this post. The topic of the original post was questioning whether America was at its point of collapse. It also listed some reasons that the poster felt like our country was spiraling downhill. I agreed with most of his points, and many people put in their two cents. However, the response that caught my attention was the following post:

I read this title and I thought, well duh! Of course we have. I read the post and thought that some of those things listed as a part of a collapse were the GOOD things about this country at one time – less central government and less behavioral control being two of them that I’d love to see.
I look at God and I wait for His wrath on this country. Spiritually it is one enormous fornicating mess. Every evil spirit that hates God has free reign and the people love it and call it good. There were men at the foundation of this country, as rare as such men are, that knew and loved God and followed Him to their deaths. Today there is mega religion, mass tolerance of every sort of spirit and flesh and the sins that those unions bring, the teaching of such filth in our public schools, the leading of our children to sit as brain dead lumps watching TV and playing computer games while even their bodies turn into blimps as a witness to what is happening to them inside. The “churches” worship the AntiChrist and good secular humanism. Men no longer KNOW they have a spirit, soul and flesh. I know I was raised to believe I was only flesh and God had to do a work in me before I could recognize there really is more to me than that.
“This country is not going to wake up. People like it that way. If they have their beer and their TV ball games, they don’t really care that this country is both Godless and Socialist. Heck, give ‘em free health care, no matter that our country is BROKE trying to pay for the social entitlements already in place. Whatever is left is going to go down the tubes of terrible and deliberate financial mismanagement. Our precious Constitution is a mockery to our “government” and has been entirely subverted. We have a government by the elite over the people and it’s too late to change that. Those elite have been working for centuries to bring about a one world government and are very near to that goal.
I don’t have to read articles to see what’s happening around me, its HAPPENING, all I have to do is to let God open my eyes and repair the damage done to my brain.”
Wow. I guess I couldn’t have said it better myself. Look, I’m not trying to sound all gloom and doom, but to all my friends and families and those who read this blog…open your eyes to what is happening around you. Don’t get caught up in media and that sort of hype, and of course don’t go off the deep end and live in fear. But certainly, discern for yourself and your family, what you need to be doing at this point. Perhaps you should be paying down debt? Maybe you should be learning some new skills? Maybe you should be searching for a church home that preaches the Bible? Be prepared for the collapse and whatever it could bring.
Sorry for all the doom, but it was on my heart…
